For her 2018 Congressional Campaign, Ms. Miller flew down to Houston for a fundraiser in her honor hosted by Ramesh Bhutada. Mr. Bhutada is the Vice President of the National HSS. His cousin-in-law (Vijay Pallod) is the National Organizer for the Howdy Modi Hate Rally in Houston in 2019. Other well-known HSS leaders at the event included Rishi Bhutada and Jugal Mulani. They gave Ms. Miller over $5,700 in donations. This is only the leaders not the other members in attendance.
The Bhutada family are major underwriters of the Hindu American Foundation which gave Ms. Miller another $5,000.
