What to Write
Most youth activists are familiar with how to march in protests and social media activism. But there are other approaches and tools for activists. Write a 800-1200 word essay on one of the following topics:
1. Kingian Nonviolence
2. Expanding the Activist Toolkit
Don’t worry if you don’t know about the topics. You can click on the links and learn more about them.
How to Submit it
The due date to submit your essay is by 8:00 pm on August 30, 2020. You should submit your completed application and the word file of your essay to Susan Kerin at susank@capconcorp.com. Here is the blank application form to complete.
Judging
Your essay will be judged by youth panelists. They will score you based on how clearly you explain the issue (is it easy to understand) and how interesting it would be to a youth audience. Peace Action Montgomery leadership will use the scores to make their final decisions . Peace Action Montgomery reserves the right to not make an award if there are not quality submissions.
